FAQs
What is a foulard?
A foulard is a lightweight fabric, typically made of silk or a silk-like material, characterized by a smooth touch and printed patterns. Essentially, the term "foulard" is the European designation for what is commonly referred to as a silk scarf.
What materials are TAMARA foulards made of?
Our foulards are made of 100% Italian silk twill. Known for its diagonal ribbed texture, silk twill offers a soft, lightweight feel, as well as exceptional durability and wrinkle resistance compared to plain weave, making our foulards timeless accessories.
How do I care for my TAMARA foulard?
Our foulards are best hand-washed with lukewarm water and a mild detergent suitable for delicate fabrics. After washing, lay it flat on a clean towel, roll it up to remove excess water, and air dry it away from direct sunlight. When ironing, use a silk setting on a slightly damp foulard or with a pressing cloth to avoid damage. For storage, fold or roll the foulard to prevent creases, avoiding hanging it for extended periods to maintain its shape and integrity. Always check the foulard's label for any specific care instructions.
Are TAMARA foulards suitable for all seasons?
Yes, our foulards are designed to be versatile. They are lightweight and breathable, making them suitable for various seasons.
